Seth Godin is a renowned entrepreneur, author, marketer and public speaker who became famous for availing his bestselling e-book, Unleashing The Ideavirus, as a free download.
Born on 10th July 1960 in New York, USA, Seth Godin is known for starting, running and selling off his initial businesses as soon as he thinks he either has achieved his goal with them or that they are no longer suitable for him. After earning his MBA degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business, Godin worked as a Branding Manager for Spinnaker Software for 4 years.

He then left employment and invested his savings in his first business, Seth Godin Production, a book packaging business that operated from his studio apartment. He sold off the business to his employees later and started YoYodyne, an Internet-based direct marketing company which he sold to Yahoo for$30 Million. Next he began Squidoo; a website platform giving users space to create and share content. Feeling that it was no longer profitable, he sold it to Hubspot. With increase in his expertise in entrepreneurship and direct marketing, Godin continues to guide his clients using his podcast, video and blogs in his website

Godin has written and published 18 bestselling books, among them are; Linchpin, We Are All Weird, Permission Marketing, Purple Cow, What to do when It’s Your Turn (and it’s always your turn) and This Is Marketing. He emphasizes that the results on social media marketing do not reflect the exact client that you need and offers the right way of narrow down on the right audience. To Godin, once the audience is right, it is possible to get the right client for you. Godin shows his audience how to get the right client in a 30-day online workshop, altMBA.

He has two sons with his wife Helene Godin his wife. They live in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
